locke_1 - Who used the expression 'irrational exhubeance' and when? What was the Naz and the Dow at the time.

6.5% is simply absurd in the current inflation environment and has been for some time.

And why does growth have to go from 5.5% to >1% (per JPM yestereday). Why isn't 4 OK or 3.5% or 4.5%. Amd that is if you don't believe that 5% is unsustainable. But with the input of productivity comeing from the NAZ and associated companies how do we know that 5% isn't sustainable. So there was a potential tightening in the labor market but other methods of increasing the number of people in the work place could have been tried first.

I think Mr G was a beneficiary of the goodness disposed by the NAZ he took it and bathed in it and made mistakes about Y2K and others, big mistakes. Those mistakes propelled the NAZ higher than normal. Then he decided to kill the NAZ once and for all and in the process has blown up the World economy.

As for recovery, don't count on it as long as he is still there. And don't understimate the damage that has been done. It amy take over a decade to get the confidence back. He has dealt the market a devastating blow.

We'll see Tuesday onwards.

Best regards,

L
