"What about all the babies that are killed each year right here in the good o'l USA? 100% preventable and 100% dead."

Okay, I'll mention Nazis so we can officially declare this thread dead.

For what it is worth, the situations that lead to abortions are not 100% preventable because you are dealing with human beings in situations that are not totally amenable to logic. However regretable it may be, it is the way it is. Remember the way things were that lead to making abortions legal. It had a lot to do with the disparity of it all. If you had money, the "problem" was taken care of safely in Europe. If you were middle class, then Mexico, not so safely (read Harlan Ellison's "Neither Your Jenny nor Mine"), and if you were poor, there were always the coat hangers...

Why Elmer, how nice to know you're an abortion warrior too, among your many other admirable qualities. Strangely, I find abortion warriors spouting off incessantly less irritating than all the Tom Clancy camp followers spewing about how great Star Wars II is gonna be. That latter fantasy is going to cost us all a lot of money.

Hey, here's an idea, maybe Intel could fob off all the engineers who can't design a decent chipset anymore to work on star wars II. Nobody expects the later to work, so nobody would particularly notice how badly they screwed up.
