Glenn: I spoke with a number of people this week who entered the stock market for the first time during the last couple of years of the bull. They sold stocks heavily this fall to cover earlier gains for tax purposes, but they did not sell mutual funds. They plan to sell mutual funds in January, thinking they would rather recognize gains in 2001. This is simply an observation -- we could have a reversal of the big inflows we normally expect in January -- I am not being positive or negative -- just pointing out how this January might play out.
