have you tried jumping in "lightly"?

Hi Chris and GH,

I guess that I am sorta lucky - I found and followed this thread since early summer, about 8 months ago. My year-end summary for my trading a/c:

- I made a total of 411 trades in y2k; lots of trades!
- No less than 65% cash at daily closing(sorta following Don's strategy) for the past 6 months. (However, I am 60% cash at closing yesterday.)

It has been a great way to go for the past 6 months!! But there has to be a better way for next year?!

Thoughts? anyone and everyone? thanks, and Happy New Year!!

Chris: Sometimes go light or heavy depending how it feels. Friday I pulled a lot of buy orders at the last moment. However, those purchased QLGC,VRSN are deep under water at the moment. This market is very wild from one day to the next. There is no way to predict how it will swing on any given day. Look at JNPR. Friday off the open it hit 144 and is now at 111. A lot of stocks swing 10-20% within a day or two. Just trying to get on the right side of the swings -- very difficult. Look at BVSN. It climbed to 35 in mid Nov. after hitting bottom around 21 and today is off 2pts. hovering around 9-1/12 NOT GOOD.
Maybe today will be capitulation. Things are accelerating downward. GH
