I heard on NPR last night that we, in America, have consumed more resources in the last 50 years than the rest of humanity has since...ever. I don't know if that is true- but I do know the rate of consumption is alarming. We will reap what we sow. Or our children and grandchildren will.

<<Since I use gas for my spa, house heating, water heating, and fireplace the idea of $10 natural gas sends shivers through my bones.<G> >>

I checked and I'm paying 31 cents per therm.

BOY IS MY FACE RED!
Since all I had done last night was open the bill and scream at the bottom line, I went back just now after seeing your post to check the adjustment though I have no idea what that is.
And guess who didn't pay her bill last month.
heehee
blush blush
The bill is still much higher than last year's-
but the Nov bill was 113. and this month was 205.
(118 plus the adj of 83-- what IS this???)
it says gas cost adj. 27.1 mcf x 3.097200
which I guess means they paid that much more this month for gas?
Why don't I own gas companies? I owned PETD for four years and it sat like a slug- it's still not up that much.

Well, I feel better- and warmer too from all the blushing.
So I'm going to go take a nap; I was up all night worrying about that bill, thinking a squirrel had eaten a hole in those big tunnel things in the attic that deliver the heat all over the house and instead we were heating the heavens over SOuthlake. I was imagining planes going over and registering a sudden increase in the air temp.
"Strange thermal action out there, Bob."

I am SOOOO glad I asked here.
