Yes, that is a very good technical analysis that fits my own TA extremely well. I'd add that the long term moving averages and trend lines also correspond to at least an intermediate term bounce. I also agree with the assertion that a short-term technical bounce may be followed by a retest in the 2nd quarter. My thinking at this point is that the retest will not be all the way back down to present levels but will be a "higher low". This would be caused by both the normal backing and filling retracement action expected after a major downturn as has recently occurred and by the expectation that sales and profits will slow substantially during the first half of 2001. Regardless of the ups and downs, I expect the NASDAQ to finish the year about 40% higher than the current level or at about 3500. The semiconductor index (SOX) should do better than that, finishing up at least 50% from this level.

My short-term target for IDTI is 46. The market may be rocky but the road should be uphill from here.
