Just to qualify it, someone recommended Motorola, Compaq, Cisco, Microsoft and 3 month T-bills...
Asked for a high on the Nasdaq for the year...the highest guess was 3200. Low was about 2000. Someone said 12,800 on the Dow though.

Elmer,

I don't pretend to know as much about INTC as you but I don't see how P3's and Celerons consumer desktops can represent 75% of sales.

just as a wag:

comm prods: 20%
Flash: 5%
Server Chips: 5%
Notebooks: 10%
Misc prods: 5%
Corp desktops:35%
consumer PC's:20%

Again, I don't see how price competition in 20% of the business can be considered a "price war". Maybe to an undiversified company like AMD it is a "price war" but not to INTC.

Does this make sense to you?

Elmer. Re: "I'm reading a book right now on Warren Buffett and his valuation style." I am a fan of Buffett's investment style, so I would appreciate it if you could post the name of the book. Buffett himself stays away from companies like Intel because: a) he doesn't understand them and b) likes companies in stable businesses.

Generally, when folks start posting a price a few dollars below the current close as the "bottom", the current price IS the bottom, and they miss out on the way up.

Hope this is true this time.
