Would this do the same thing but simpler?

control Panel>
system>
performance>
virtual memory>
check "let me specify my own virtual memory settings"
Set minimum as discussed previosly and no maximum

After making the changes reboot and Windows
makes the necessary changes to the iniation files.(???)

Sorry, I'm stuck in the first paragraph "First, get System Monitor going. Click Edit and select Add Item... You want to monitor your swap file size. It's found as
Swap File Size under Memory Manager. Once you're monitoring the Swap File Size, click Edit and commence logging
by selecting Start Logging." I had swapfile size selected in my system monitor, but going to edit does not bring me an option to commence logging. I'm in W98. Help?

best,

Rick
