Energy Policy

Big:

I think there is not a DEFINED energy policy. The actions taken toward energy are mostly ad hoc and meant to pacify the moment.

So, what, you have to see it in a party's platform before it's considered "real"??? Several of Clinton's policies have been "mostly ad hoc and meant to pacify the moment." The same can be said for the policies of many Republican presidents, for that matter. How is this one any different?

There does not exist a defined policy for the country to work toward energy security, which to me is what an energy policy should be about.

Now on that part we can agree, but the distinction that you have drawn there is about the objective of the policy, not the existence of the policy itself.

It's a great distinction, though. Thanks for the response.
