I basically said, no one can guess what the short-term will be like, so I would protect any funds that aren't tolerant to a short-term downside by reducing margin.

Another thought was: cut household expenses to the bone over the next few months or so, build up cash, and take advantage of the downturn by investing it, but not on margin.

The other thought was: all boats have gone down. But INTC has gone down less than the other boats: Sun, MS, HP, Solectron, Del, Apple, and even Cisco didn't fair as well as INTC this year.
