<Did you get fired from INTC? Why are you so, so bitter?>

Am I? Must be from the days when Intel tried to choke AMD with Celery.

<AMD's own roadmap shows no 2.0 until Q1 2002. So by Q4 2001 AMD will be back in the situation of their fastest chip being equivalent to INTC's slowest P4. The P4 then will be deep into the .13 transition and it is on this process that the speed can ramp very, very fast. AMD's design does not allow for this type of scaling (they have admitted as much).>

This is where you are wrong. 1.5GHz P4 has the performance of 1GHz Athlon but twice the die size and requires a much more expensive platform. In addition, AMD makes a comfortable living at $70 ASP, while INTC will do a belly flop with an ASP twice as rich.
