I've been posting that as their business plan goal for months - just as I've been posting Intel's business plan goal as $200 for months.

Neither company is likely to reach business-plan-ASP-Nirvana next year.

Given that the two companies sell fairly fungible products, IMHO it's going to be easier for AMD to come close to $100 ASPs than it will be for Intel to come close to $200 ASPs.

And in terms of profitability, $100 ASPs for AMD are equal to $200 ASPs for Intel.

If it's a really brutal year, it will be easier for AMD to maintain $70 ASPs than it will be for Intel to maintain $140 ASPs.
