LMAO-Yes things have changed a bit. Believe it or not I experienced a Transylvanian unity between the Hungarians and the Romanians. While old feuds still lived on, many of them just thought of themselves as Transylvanians and wished that Bucharest and Budapest would go away. This was in Cluj. I never made it to Tirgu Mures, but I suspect that ethnic tensions are a lot higher there. I really liked Cluj, it was the most enjoyable part of my trip. People were friendly and very educated. The ice cream was almost as good as the ice cream in Italy and the pastries were really good as well. Other than the fact that the surf was not very good, my only complaint was that I didn't stay longer. <GG>
