Of course DoCoMo is doing very, very, very well with its content rich legacy system.

I was just pointing out that GSM/GPRS is not CDMA's competition there.

I agree that content and marketing will be a huge factor in the competition. Speed alone won't cut it. But how about both? Is that a winner? We will know better in Japan as 2001/2 proceed. (And this is just one country)

As for new spectrum, the key point is that the Q pulls in money - the discussion is just over how much.

All I am suggesting is that throwing in the towel or the baby out with the bath water is at least premature.
