the logic in the 3-5-8 could be this......

since if it gets to 8......that usually means a longterm uptrend will be starting.....and the 3-5-8 works best in up markets.....so this year since september it has been a constant downtrend.....3-5-8's have been rare.....with many failing at the critical day 5.......

and since many start on far off sar hits.....it figures day 1-2 are just profit taking.....day 3 would rise because sellers all sold 1 and 2.....then day 4 would be some kind of consolidation day.....and if something really is up and the stock will go on a run...day 5 might be big boys buying with daytraders jumping in on the mo.....and days 6&7 would be before the big rise...so mm's shake out the sheep and load cheap knowing a bigger run is coming......roll

and if day 5 fails...it means nothing big is coming...so move on or short it...roll

these stocks here are on day 1 after a sar hit.......

PKSI.....MCAF.....VNTR......

watch em......tuesday would be day 2

if you want to find sar hits......go to this site.....and click on " whats hot" .......

www2.barchart.com

and remember.....two things can happen after a sar hit.....

1)..it could go on a 1 to 5 day or more run......

2)..it could be down the day after....and thats when you can start the 3-5-8 count.....and if any day fails in the pattern...the pattern is no good and can't be used.....

here are some stocks that had sar hits friday......now tuesday.....they will either start a run.....or they will be down and you can start the count.....

FIBR...RADN....ONCO.....TVLY.....AXPH...ABAX.....

ORPH..SPCT.....INGN....PERY...HYBR...ENBC..

GCOR...ONDI...RFMI...ONXS....TMNG.....

and here are a few on the hot list that are "close" to a sar hit and might have one soon.....

MDSI.....GNSL...WRLS.....GSPT...

remember to do dd on each stock.....and take into consideration the overall market conditions.....

just an interesting side note......

hahn has a trend change coming jan.11 .....now since the market is in a downtrend...and if it continues till the 11th......that means on the 11th the trend could change to up.....and all those stocks who had sar hits on friday...well.....jan.11 would be day 8 on the count.....and day 8 would be the big one starting a strong move up.....

just something to keep an eye on.......
