Thanks Frank. I think the main reason that DSL/cable modems are slow rolling out is that it takes too much installation effort. Most times it requires a professional and the user must be at home during the installation, and trouble-shooting can take several trips. Technologies are worthless no matter how great they are, if they are too hard to use. Why did PC become so popular, because Windows made it easy. I just thought if there is a way to take advantage of the powerful DMT, 256QAM, S-CDMA or whatever but make it easy to use, even it's not 100Mbps or 10Mbps, I bet people will sign up for it, and the telco/cable companies can save tons of money from installation too.
