You have just summed up civilization in a nutshell... but just think of the stuff you damsels put us thru to get that damned almond roca for you ! LOL! Think of it . There were those ladies far back living up in the high northlands of europe who had gotten a looksee of maybe one little swatch of Silk from the mystical far eastern land of the Asias , that had made it's way to the european lands , and to their northern rude homes. Silk undies sure would be nice...mmmmmmm. You don't think the Vikings went out to terrorize all of Ireland , Brittan , France and Europe out of some noble cause of "exploration" do you ? Oh no Nannette, it was -----> their wives said: " go forth and find and bring me Silks and Almond Rocas.....and don't come home without it !"
