On 12/20, the SEMI organization posted the book and bill numbers for November(Preliminary). The organization has data back to 1995. The following tables are a listing of that data. Note the robust bookings and billings this year compared to any other year. The semi-equip companies are operating on another plateau compared to previous years. Since the beginning of the year 2000, backlog has grown steadily each month. For the 11 months of this year, backlog has grown by 6,286 million dollars. Last year, 1999, for the full 12 months, backlog only grew by 2,459 million. However, adding the 2 years together give 23 months of increasing backlog to a total of 8,745 million.
