Re: "AMD has chosen to compete in the PC processor business. This industry is dominated by a huge and often ruthless competitor. AMD has succeeded where many others have failed in the consumer market, and may soon start growing market share into the conservative business segment"

I believe Mary's comments were from an investment standpoint where AMD has been a total and complete failure. During that time, as Mary pointed out, Jerry has enriched himself while those foolish enough to hold the stock have suffered terribly.

Re: "Shareholders need to understand the business model and risks associated with their investment. AMD is trading with a P/E of 5.5. If they can get some business wins, the stockholders will be richly rewarded"

The same promise recycled over and over year after year. Meanwhile Jerry keeps getting richer and richer.

Re: "Look how far AMD has come in the last 24 months in terms of engineering and marketing accomplishments! They now dominate the retail marketplace"

Look how far the share price has come in the last 17 years.

BTW, are you holding any AMD stock? I bought some and immediately sold ITM CCs. Assuming I'm assigned at $12.5 I'll make about 7% for less than a month's wait. I bought on margin and I only need about 10 cents a month in premiums to pay the interest. I think I'll do this kind of trade on AMD on a regular basis.
