pass pass...the chart looks like a base is forming. Even if daily prices hover up and down, I think the worst is over...

To be direct, look at the decline in price. The upside is tremendous vesus the downside risk on a company that is highly regarded by analysts to have ~47% growth next year!

Add what I call a bonus to long investors - the end of year tax selling provided a nice oversold price to get in and hold through the fed rate cuts and possibly positive earnings report Jan 25th by JDSU.

Sorry if I sound like a cheerleader, but IMHO this is going to be an exciting time for JDSU longs.

Oh, don't forget that the merger should be complete soon too!

This is a good point. This jogged my memory that Buffett bought junk in 1987, too. We had a market crash in 1987 without an economic event, just as in 2000.
