could be. And it also means that distrubuted generation is coming. A co can buy its own mini-power plant and sell the excess power to the util co. This should really begin to take off in 2001 and 2002 as more of these units come to market.

<<BTW, Check out American Superconductor (AMSC). It's under $1 billion. >>

Just to note, AstroPower's largest contract yet is with LA Dept. of Water and Power, for $6M of solar cells over one year. Puny, but it's good to see someone take the lead to see where and how solar electric can be used as on-grid supplementary power. Production conveniently peaks during the middle of the day...
