"The sky didn't fall."
Time to consider adjusting the medication?

"Show me, GST. As far as I can see there is a complete disconnect between energy this year and tech spending."

You continue to amaze me.

"The only slowdown I know about (other than the maturation of PC's) is the inventortyu overhang from CLEC slowdown due to credit contraction. Not energy costs. You can't point energy at anything. I'd like to see you do it...and not by producing some 2000 year-in-review article bunching factors together in a catch-all post mortem on 2000. Not even transportation stocks, which are the most highly sensitive to energy costs."

Perhaps the key to your investment success -- with an emphasis on the year just ended -- rests on your inability to understand anything about how the economy functions. But perhaps you are right -- perhaps the only thing going on is a slowdown in the pc market -- LOL. Ya that must be it. It would be impossible to find any other evidence of slowing. I am sure the fed will think twice about cutting rates aggressively when they read your post and realize that it was all just an overblown reaction to the maturing of the pc market -- lots and lots and lots of luck to you William -- you are going to need all the luck you can get. See you next year.
