I don't really understand that article. Clinton says: Arafat if you don't take this golden opportunity, you will be cursed by later generations for a failure to act. Arafat says: "He's threatening me." Threatening him with what? The adverse judgment of history and/or his people? Does Clinton control that?

Something here doesn't ring right.

That may be true, but what Clinton meant was that the billions he would have paid for a legacy would be regretted in the future if Arafat did not take the money.. ;)
