I guess they did, didn't they. Remember Khadfi? The jokes about seeing his Navy with glass bottomed boats. Our Jets intercepting and bring to landing a jet liner with terrorists fleeing the area... The Berlin wall was RR and GW work. It came down. Not for JFK. I will admit that Johnson was preoccupied with the VietNam War and Nixon with the same only attempting a withdrawal with some dignity. An impossible feat. Those that remember those times intimately, will never forget. Politicians shouldn't fight wars. Democrats attempt to micro manage them. At least PaPa Bush as he is so fondly known, had the good sense to tell his people what he wanted and let them achieve. Human nature is not touchy feely at all times. People and nations can be ruthless. To seek eternal comfort is fruitless. Only in death will such things be found. Vigilance is the virtue of survivors. I am stunned by the press and people that feel that every blow should be telegraphed. No boxer would ever do that. A nation cannot be ruled by polling and press editorials. If that were the case we would have no need for a Administration. We need to accept rule by representative democracy or foil our right to survival. Possibly we can remember what happened to the Bysantine Empire. Mob rule and changing of monarchs routinely. Sometimes weekly. They were far too comfortable with demands on the whole, rather than giving to the entity. The principles of our government have brought yet another administration. Now it is for that administration to take it's part in the future of our nation. It is for the anarchists to complain, as always. Their ranks filled with the spoiled privileged and the criminal mindless and thoughtless antisocial mishaps. The average folks of each party will move on with life. The grand mistake of the suffering, such as yourself is that somehow you have been convinced that you were so special and so brilliant. You could never be happy as a follower.
