I need not say that I don't know which way the stocks markets may go next month, but I would be surprised at a rapid boom in energy stocks. Surprised, but delighted. I just think that there may be an unfounded suspicion that energy prices are merely the latest mania--which they are not. This very largely pure supply and demand, as anyone speculating on the short side will find out to their lasting grief. Or so I think.

There's also the memory of the oilpatch disaster.

But only gradually is the natural gas situation getting noticed. I think it's so bad that no one wants to thimnk about it.
