Lisa and David,
Thank you for your message. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated and I am genuinely touched by your desire to make a charitable contribution in my honor. Also thank you for being part of the community of biotech enthusiasts that participate on this thread.

I am glad that you had a profitable year and gratified that that you find the thread useful. I also know that you do your own research and use the thread for potential ideas. I would be concerned if anyone was blindly following my picks(I know you guys are not).

I wish I had time to run the portfolio more professionally. I am not saying performance would be better but I would feel better about it. Because of my increasing professional work-load there have been times this past year when I have missed things simply because I could not devote the time. Ironically in some cases this probably helped (grin). I have been frustrated however, by not having the time to explore new opportunities. This is not likely to get better in the near future.

My biggest mistake this year was not selling more when I saw the tech stocks starting to weaken dramatically during the course of the year. As a friend of my has told me, in a bear market, they take-em out and shoot them one at a time. Although I am reasonably comfortable with the portfolio I am still concerned about the market short term. Most biotechs have held their value. I don't want to scare anyone but quality companies like MLNM, VRTX or SEPR could see their valuations halved in this market if they have a misstep.

My favorite charities are cancer research and cancer care. Please make your donation to the organization in your area that you believe can provide the most good.

Happy New Year and God bless both of you.
