You are right enough, I do not wish for the extension of the Therapeutic Society. I do not mind circumscribed mental health benefits, upon serious referral for debilitating conditions, but I do not favor broad "therapy" coverage. Talking therapy has a bad track record; there is little or no clinical validation of major therapeutic approaches; Freudianism, Jungianism, Adlerism, TA, non- directional analysis, and so forth vie as so many cults, without rhyme or reason. The coverage already provided federal employees was, in my mind, excessive. But we shall see if the latest expansion matters in the longer run.......
