Transferring or re-establishing should be relatively easy now that it's been done. We're talking knowledge and expertise here.and the IPR that goes with the system.. Priceless. That is it!! More than enough.Nothing else!!! IMHO, you forget G*'s probable role in a battle of titans heating up for dominance in the air passenger business. You under play the enormous cash generating potential of the system and over state the willingness of the existing partners to gamble their role in that future. Finally, again just MHO, your suggestion as to why I* went cheap is flawed. I* went cheap because of a systemic design flaw - even best case, by the time it launched service, it could never be profitable because of its many limitations - from poor call quality to extremely limited capacity and minimal data capability. I* went BK because it had no real world business case. It went cheap in BK auction because from a business stand point it was, and remains, a pos. Again, we should probably agree to disagree. We see it differently and precious little hard information is yet available to convince us to change our view. Fortunately we will have real world answers very soon. All that said, my cyber friend - I trust you and yours are entering the new millennium in good health and good spirits. I appreciate your many posts and the opportunity it gives us all to continue to reevaluate our perspectives. I also suspect you are not one of the "I told you so" types so I feel comfortable talking points with you without feeling as though I'm at war with some one more interested in winning arguments than assessing prospects. I'm betting that events forthcoming will change your perspective, and if its the other way around, well c'est la vie. We're talking perspectives here, after all - and I know you understand that.
