We were separated at the time and living in different countries. When I came home she asked me and I told her. Had I been deposed I would have said the same. Had I been asked in open court, I would have said the same.

The point is that the 1994 law put people in the private sector in exactly the position that you are complaining about! The Democrats said: Great! We can really shake down these folks in the private sector who are accused of sexual harassment! If they try to fight it in court, we can force them to disclose their sexual histories! (The accuser is shielded from such questioning.) They will fork over a big out-of-court settlement instead! Why weren't you complaining about the law back then? Why is it only "unfair" when Clinton himself gets caught up by his own law four years later?
