CME New Year's Holiday Trading Schedule Dec. 29, 2000—Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) has announced the following trading schedule for the New Year’s Day holiday: Marking the close of trading for 2000, Eurodollar traders and clerks showered the CME's upper trading floor with confetti at the 12 noon early closing Dec. 29. See below for trading hours beginning Jan. 2, 2001 Friday, Dec. 29 All agricultural futures, currency and interest rate futures and options close at noon. Agricultural options close at 12:02 p.m. Goldman Sachs Commodity Index (GSCI) closes at noon. Equity products close at 3:05 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31 GLOBEX2 is closed. Monday, Jan. 1 Exchange is closed for pit trading in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. GLOBEX2 is closed and will resume trading on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at 5:30 a.m.
