I believe it probably depends upon what networking area - the nw chip or the nw router.

I believe Intel is there to stay, lock-in, and dominate the nw chip area.

The Network biz is part of the 'new businesses' that as a whole were said in the article to be predicted to grow 50%.

But I agree the nw router area appears to be for simply expanding on-ramps, to stimulate chip demand.
