Dear Tom: I'm in AWE ! Terry's condition worsened over the long New Year weekend. He became very ill. WE live in a small town and his doctor told him to eat no more and was set up for surgery on Tuesday. Apparently the hernia he had been diagnosed with 5 weeks earlier was strangulating his intestines. He was vomiting and in pain. We, of course, have been praying for him here. We also prayed for him Sunday morning, the elders and I .

His surgeon came in to examine him Tuesday morning before the surgery. He said . Terry. I cannot operate on you . WHY ? Because there is nothing wrong with you , was the answer. He got up from his hospital bed and went to the school where his wife was teaching.

Meanwhile I had called the hospital and they had him not registered, so I called his cell phone and found him at the school sharing the miracle with his wife.

We've all been on cloud nine around here. Thanks again for your prayers; nothing like starting 2001 off with a mighty move on the Lord.
