You are right Moufassa. Chips are unch on the day. Looks like they were beaten down to the point where they were barely breathing and left for dead. . . .so on today's historically consistent First-Day-Of-The-Year-Slam, the Chips were excluded entirely. And I still like the Biotech sector for 2001.

Last year this time, the Nasdaq soldoff 500 points the first 4 days of January. . . .taking it back to where it was on Dec. 17, 1999. . .the day when most big shots took off for the holidays and left the candy store to the Individual Investors. [This year they locked in a pair of Dobermans]

This years Holidility took us from about 2280 to about 2574. . . about a 286 point gain over the final week of 2000. We are already within 70 points of that the low just before Christmas.
