Sure, Pete. When it comes to junk science, it's hard to beat star wars. You wouldn't happen to have any recollection of the Excalibur saga, would you? Hagelstein, Wood, Teller all feeding the brilliant scientific mind of Reagan with bad data that happened to match one of those movie fantasies Reagan was always confusing with reality? Hagelstein at least came out well in that episode, parlayed it into a tenured position at MIT, where, incredibly, he managed to find an even more bogus area of "science" on the cold fusion front.

On the off chance that you might be interested, you can read about it in physics.emich.edu, or many other places where "science" isn't necessarily what defense contractor VPs say it is.
