Or they could go higher... That is why I build a position in good fundamental stocks as opposed to taking an initial full position. If the stocks go lower in the short-term all the better.

Concensus estimate year ending 7/01 = $0.78 - PE = 42 currently.

Concensus estimate year ending 7/02 = $1.00 - PE = 33 forward basis.

What is S&P 500 current PE, which has better long term growth prospects? Same can be done with MSFT.
