Dear IS and Mr. Pink:

If were are headed into a recession, are there any companies that do nothing but loan originations? They would seem to be companies that are in line to take a hit.

Some fools mistakenly believe that the subprimes will benefit from lower rates. HOwever, the recession will cause defaults to go up more than the benefit from a lower cost of capital.
