Limitex, I hope the FED can save the day, and I say 1800 with some concern that I have painted myself into a bearish corner. The fact is that The economy is in SERIOUS trouble and people have been way to complacent. In Feb when I got bearish, and in July when I got really bearish it was on the basis of what people I knew in Real world Biz were telling me. The FED is hopelesly lost in the past, and I fear that they will be late to the party as they always have, Even if the FED cuts there are no guarentees it can jump start the economy. Once Psychology becomes very negative(like in Japan and in 29')rate cuts arnt alway a help. The finall determining factor for the Markets is if the economy is simply in an inventory, oversupply for y2k correction. Or is it an end to the 12 year BULL market. The Dow and S&P are saying things are still groovey whille the NAZ is saying buy Canned goods. Which way the DOW breaks here will determine the market's fate
