Lundin excited about Aurora's Sudbury igneous complex
Aurora Platinum Corp ARP
Shares issued 1,127,367 2000-12-28 close $7.3
Monday Jan 1 2001 In the News
In the December issue of Gold Newsletter, editor Brien Lundin updates readers on Aurora Platinum (recently around $7). He
says the significance of the company's Sudbury igneous complex cannot be overemphasized and he suggests a tour of the
photos on the company's Web site to get an idea of the proximity of Aurora's two Sudbury properties to some of the richest
nickel-copper-PGM (platinum group metals) discoveries in modern times. ARP is well financed to carry out a planned
5,000-metre, first phase drilling program, having recently closed a $6.38-million financing. The drilling will test mineralization
discovered by the company last July which is similar to that hosting some of the largest orebodies in the Sudbury district.
Assay results are also expected very soon from 14 holes drilled on the Midrim project. Samples from the drilling were locked
up until the financing closed, but are now being processed. In last month's issue Mr. Lundin advised "pecking away" at the
company with the shares trading at $4.

I think the stock has gotten a little ahead of itself- market cap of $128 million with no reserves in the ground. It is an interesting play, but quite expensive at $7 <g>. We are not in the "pre-BreX" days anymore... hard to keep something at this price when the company has nothing but promise.
