i've just started doing almost the same thing. i copy and paste to a word file prior to submitting. i had grown accustomed to doing that when i was using netscape all the time, because it was a very crashy browser and i got super jumpy about everything i was posting. <g3> but with w2k and ie5.5, i have not had to resort to c&p into word.

thanks to the sad state of affairs here at si lately, i'm back on that track.

:)

Ed ...

>>>>>I've been typing my responses to notepad, saving them and then try to reply in SI.It's a pain but necessary in view of this mess SI is in.

ever since the days of the demise of Browsemaster I've gotten into a habit of copying to the clipboard "BEFORE" submitting to SI .... normally I do it everytime my post is more than a few sentences long ...
for example, this one I did use copy ....

edit -- I see that mark is doing similar things ... but I've not found it necessary to use the paste function "until" ... (not if but when) SI messes it up...gggg
