If you read my post carefully you will note that I said "As the Swiss say they are". Not what they do, but what they say.

Maybe I will agree with you slightly that W is not promoting a high level of confidence, but I also don't accept that he is a root of the slide.

Time will tell, but I think politics and economics do get into bed with each other, but each keeps one foot on the floor.
