Look people. Get a grip. Voltaire is not an investment advisor, nor has he ever held himself out to be an investment advisor. He is simply a person that has a truly unique and refreshing outlook on life in general and has an OPINION on the markets and on individual stocks in general. People visit this porch because they like Tom for who he is-a selfless, honest person, who has spent enormous amounts of time trying to help others openly and thu PMs and telephone calls. It's been a brutal bear market for tech stocks that NO ONE could foresee-certainly not the severity. My own personal net worth has been cut more that in half and it hurts but I believe in many of the companies that I invest in and I enjoy the banter on the porch. But above all, I enjoy Tom's outlook on life. The pessimists have always been wrong long term. It will be no different this time.

You can't be serious!

You want people to go into the New Year hunched over their computer in their little dark room, sourly reading ancient archived SI posts from someone they don't even know?

Why? So they can discover that nothing they ever do wrong is their own fault?

If people are influenced THAT much from posts they read on an anonymous Internet chat board...they are in for big trouble in their lives.

Don't we have enough of people always being "victims", never being responsible for their own actions?

Give us all a break.

Why pick on Voltaire?? Take a look at virtually every major professional stock picker over the past year. All these "houses" have maintained "outperform" and "above" ratings on most every stock that has been hit so hard. They get paid to offer advice. Volts gets grief from people like you.
