Haim, there are lots of distraught and fading tech millionaires out there who made lots of paper money on the tech bubble who waited until today to sell. I know of three, one was part of a Cisco buyout of Geotel Communications in 1999, another with Nortel, and one last with Dell. All three refused to sell last year because of that word--capital gains taxes--and perilous perceptions that selling at the lows last fall would make them look like the fools in another 'V' bottom. I have spoken to all three and they were in a panic to sell today. Just finally wanted out. Their ages range from 30 to 41, so they of course knew more about how they got wealthy than anyone could advise them otherwise. It looks like there will be a continued buyers strike in tech anyhow.

>>It seems to me that the market is not yet responding to substantial liquidity injection<<
More like responding in a contrarian mode...;-)

My previous post indicated that an easing is under way, and it did.

More interesting is the fact that no reserves were added today to the banking system.
