The FAQ needs a few changes this week to update the end-of-year changes. Does anyone know exactly what percentage the NAZ dropped this year?

IMO she probably meant locking in gains and offsetting them with loses...

Because you can only deduct $3000 worth of losses against ordinary income. So if you have a bunch of losses you might want to offset them against gains, in a sense making those gains tax-free.
