GV, You miss my point. I don't disagree with the valuation of minority investments you propose... but what CSCO has been doing is reducing "actual earnings" by taking money from earnings and plowing them into start-up's/investments. They don't have to do this... but they do. If they didn't these funds would be a significantly positive influence on the earnings numbers. YOu pointed out that sequential earnings growth is flat but this ignores the fact that Cisco has been "poaching" from earnings to invest. You really need to add these funds back into to get an accurate picture of true earnings. OG
