What would you sell a company for if you had one to sell? Obviously you don't, but I'm curious?

i would try to sell a private company, if very healthy, for 5 times earnings and settle for 3 if I needed to sell. That would mean that i get paid for the next 3 years without having to work for it.

A sick company I would try to sell for 3 times earnings and settle for 1. That means I get something for what would soon become worthless.
