I see BTK has broken out of that triangle going back to the beginning of November. This will be interesting because the breakdown has nowhere to go without violating the 1998 trendline that it's sitting on now.

many 'bears' can't believe what's happening. they've been as well trained by the mania as the bulls, and those that survived the blow-off are naturally overly cautious, now that the bubble is finally imploding. i think the big surprise of 2001 will be how low this thing can go...just as everybody was surprised at how high it went. the latest bear market 'hook' (now that the 'January effect' has been revealed to be yet another one of those) is the coming rate cut. yes, it will likely serve to temporarily revive confidence...but ultimately i believe it won't help. a bunch of bureaucrats fighting a new primary trend? LOL!
