So what if Transmeta is indicating that AMD's X86-64 will be the mainstream ISA in 2 to 3 years, therefore that's the ISA they want their products running 2 years from now. Everybody has known for months that the 32 bit era was nearing its end and that Itanium's 64 bit ISA was a loser - it's not like any of that was news. :-) Dan
