Unluckily I don't know anyone with a Ericsson or Motorola
WAP phone, what I know is that the Nokia phones now get
activated with data acess for WAP active.
(But one can of course still use SMS settings)

That is, I didn't think of the "others", thanks.

Ilmarinen

P.S. This helps demonstrating and selling phones in
the stores, especially as the Merita bank has a
"practicing site" (same as they have had for
internet since the start of the Solo service, not
specific for WAP). The practical "problem" is actually
that one need to have the list of personal codes to
log in, not practical to keep in the wallet.
But as this security system is/was made for the 100%
unsecure internet I guess something more practical can
soon be used for the WAP system. That would also give
WAP banking an edge on internet banking, but lots of
factors involved.

Mika, (and Ilmarinen)

Speaking of SMS (and shortly ?) EMS & MMS ... are either of you familiar with Nokia's proprietary approach to same and if so would you care to comment?

Evidently there is some controversy over this.

Happy New Millennium (to both of you) and am I correct in assuming all the GSM networks of Europe stayed up when midnight tolled?
