the spike in the ten year bond looked like fear to me.

Anyway, it was worth stepping into a smallish position for a shot at a bounce.

I agree, but that doesnt mean the market cant rally. If it does rally significantly soon without thorough capitulation market wide, not just the NAZ, then it will probably occur down the road. That would set up PHASE III of the BEAR as others have mentioned.
