I am the soul of rationality, but I am also a social conservative, and agree with the Religious Right, at least up to a point, on most things. In the eyes of many, the mere fact that I am pro- life, even in a somewhat moderate version, makes me an extremist. I could never understand why guys like flapjack were not willing to engage the contradiction: someone whom they could not regard as a "right- wing whacko" who held views they considered extreme........
